A test is a starting point.
A browser can generate a known signal and show microphone input. It cannot tell you everything about your speakers, room or hearing.

Prepare your setup
Choose your output, turn the volume down, and note any EQ or spatial audio. Headphones make left/right differences easier to hear.

Repeat the same check
Try the same short sound twice. Then change one thing — a cable, a setting or the output device — and compare.

Know the boundary
A waveform shows the generated signal. Uncalibrated microphone readings are not a certified sound-level or hearing measurement.
Before you press play
Do I need an account or download?
No. Open a tool and start when you are ready. Playback tools use browser audio; microphone tools request permission only when you start them.
Why do I hear both channels on both sides?
Check whether mono audio or a spatial effect is enabled. Speakers and room reflections can also make a single channel seem less distinct. Try headphones and compare the same settings.
Can these tools tell me whether my hearing is normal?
No. Output level is not calibrated to your ears, and headphones, browser settings and ambient noise affect what you hear. These tools cannot diagnose hearing conditions.
Can I save a tone or sweep setup?
The tone generator and frequency sweep include controls to save settings in this browser and copy a settings link. Restoring settings never starts playback automatically.
